The Gambia popularly know as the smiling Coast of Africa is a very tiny country in West Africa, with a population of only 2.6 million people, bordered by Senegal and the Atlantic Ocean. It's known for its rich cultural heritage, diverse wildlife, and the Gambia River, which runs through the country. The capital is Banjul, located on an island at the river's mouth. The Gambia has a variety of ecosystems, including savannas and mangroves, and is popular for ecotourism, particularly birdwatching. The country has a tumultuous political history but has made strides toward democracy in recent years. A safe destination with low crime rate, the people are warm and friendly everyone love a laughter and a good story. The official language is English however, there are eight other local languages / tribes, with people of all faiths living harmoniously.The Gambia is a cultural power house and a citadel of peace in Africa.
